Create your first knife with this knife making kit

This beginner knife making kit includes the following:

• Hunting knife blank waterjet cut from 1075 steel annealed (soft)
• A pair of Sheoak wood scales to make the handle
• 1/8″ (3.2mm) brass pin stock to attach the handle to the knife
• 1/4″ (6.35mm) brass lanyard tube
• 4 sheets of Rhynowet sandpaper
• Instruction guide with more than 2500 words to guide you in making your first knife

The knife blank’s dimensions are: Overall Length: 230 mm Blade Length: 110 mm Thickness: 4.3 mm Additional tools needed:

• Permanent Marker
• Angle grinder or hacksaw
• Drill
• Metal file or belt grinder
• Scrap wood or steel
• Clamps
• Lubricant such as WD40, soapy water, windex
• Magnet
• Something to heat the steel
• Darkened workshop
• Metal container
• Cooking oil
• Kitchen Oven
• Glue – 24 hour set epoxy such as Blade Bond
• Saw
• Rag for cleaning
• Acetone or isopropyl
• Camera to take pictures of the result
